Octopus Grappling is a Jiu-jitsu and Mixed Combat Sports apparel company that wants to bring more art and meaning to the gear we wear on the mats. 

Our Story

My name is Lyuba Patsula, I started Octopus Grappling as a way to use my art in a practical way. And in a way that makes it accessible to the community around me. Jiu-jitsu has quickly become a space I love. Many of my most favorite people are my training partners. They have been there for me in the happy times and some of my lowest days. They encouraged me to begin this journey to bring my art to the wide world around me. That is what Octopus Grappling is doing. It is bringing artworks to life. On rash-guards and hand-wraps. And on apparel for off the mats. 

Our Team

At the moment it’s a one woman show. I have a background in Accounting. I spend almost all my time on the mats. I have done Krav Maga (yellow belt), Kickboxing, Muay Thai (almost did TBA!!), and Jiu-jitsu. My main love is absolutely Jiu-jitsu! Being a tiny female in the sport and rolling with my big bear training partners almost everyday is something that can’t be beat.
